Article summary

Abstract

The present work is dedicated to research on the influence of magnetic fields on
superconducting material behavior, in particular, on the relationship between magnetic
field strength and critical parameters, such as critical temperature (Tc), critical
magnetic field (Hc), and critical current density (Jc). Below their critical temperatures,
superconductors display zero electrical resistance and the expulsion of magnetic fields,
but their superconducting state can be destroyed by an external magnetic field. This
research tries to analyze experimental data and theoretical models to understand
how increasing magnetic field strengths affect the onset and stability of
superconductivity. The paper discusses mechanisms of flux pinning, type I and type II
superconducting responses, and the development of the mixed state in type II
superconductors. It gives further insight into the applications involving the
development and optimization of superconducting materials where the role of magnetic
environments is decisive.
