-: भारत की आधी आबादी महिलाएँ हैं और उनके बिना किसी भी समाज की प्रगति की कल्पना अधुरी है। बिहार जैसे राज्य में जहां ऐतिहासिक रूप से गरीबी, अशिक्षा और पितृसत्तात्मक संरचना गहरी जड़े जमाए हुए रही है, महिलाओं की आर्थिक स्थिति लंबे समय तक पिछड़ी रही। लेकिन वर्ष 2005 के बाद से बिहार के राजनीतिक इच्छाशक्ति, सरकारी योजनाओं, स्वयं सहायता समूहों (Self Help Group-SHG) और सामाजिक जागरूकता ने महिलओं के आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में उल्लेखनीय बदलाव किए। वर्ष 2005 से 2025 तक का समय इस संदर्भ में एक निर्णायक युग साबित हुआ है।
